Vision
Developing the next generation of Christ-followers to passionately serve Christ and lead others.
HCA Theme Scripture
… So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:6-‐8

Core Values
HCA’s core values are based on seven biblical character traits. These core values not only serve as our employee code of conduct, they also form the foundation of our student shield system. These seven character traits do not replace the spiritual demand on those who are people of faith, love, mercy, justice, goodness, kindness, righteousness, and other spiritual hallmarks.
Courage – We should have the courage to stand up for what is right even if it’s not popular, so that we can mentor others to develop the same courage. We should have the courage to share their faith, stand firm in their conviction, and follow Christ daily. Those who have this courage will be able to be an example to those who look up to them. Joshua 1:9
Loyalty – We should have a sense of committed loyalty to Christ, His Word, their personal relationships, and to HCA. This loyalty is motivated by love, and people with this type of loyalty will be able to disciple students to remain true and loyal in their faith, to their families, the organizations in which they participate, and in their relationships. Proverbs 21:21
Integrity – We should have integrity that basically means “yes” means “yes” and “no” means “no.” We are to be are honest and forthright. Living in integrity means living righteously and pursuing excellence in all we do. When we model integrity, we are not only learning to develop integrity, but also pursue righteousness and excellence. Proverbs 10:9
Grit – We should demonstrate the character of perseverance and steadfastness. We should look at failures as opportunities for spiritual growth and maturity so we can be ready to mentor those who may fail. We should have a stick-to-it attitude as an example for others to learn to never give up. Hebrews 12:1-2
Honor – We should always show honor and respect to authority and to each other. Honor produces manners, politeness, kindness, and being more concerned about others than self. Those who live in honor will be able to mentor others on how to live in honor. John 5:23
Truth – We should be followers, seekers, and discerners of God’s Truth. Bible reading, memorization, and study should be a part of everyone’s spiritual walk. We should be able to discern between a secular brand of truth and the truth found in God’s Word. Knowing biblical truths will help disciple others in knowing biblical truth and hopefully encourage them to seek and follow biblical truth. Psalm 25:5
Wisdom – We should not only know biblical truths, but also apply them to our lives as practical and spiritual wisdom. We should know by experience that God gives His wisdom to those who ask. Spiritual wisdom helps people to grow and develop spiritually. The spiritually wise person will be able to teach this wisdom to others as part of their mentoring process. James 3:17

Statement Of Faith
HCA is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and fully supports its educational integrity and theological stance. Therefore, HCA has adopted the Statement of Faith as summarized by ACSI, because it represents well the Biblical view of HCA as a conservative, evangelical school.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19), His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that we are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16–19, 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8–9; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28–29).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, Galatians 3:26–28).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13 14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19–20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).
We believe that the term marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25).
We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4).
We believe that God’s command is that there be no sexual intimacy outside or apart from marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that God wonderfully foreordained and immutably created each person as either male or female in conformity with their biological sex. These two distinct yet complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27)
