Why is Kingdom Education so important in a Christian school? What is a Biblical Worldview? Parents may be asked these questions and may not know how to respond. Being a private, Christian school, HCA believes these questions are fundamental to our mission. The mission of Kingdom Education Ministries is dedicated to uniting the home, church and school through a biblical philosophy of education for the purpose of educating future generations to think and act from a biblical worldview. Kingdom Education strives to prepare students how to live a godly life, but also to ensure their eternal life. We have not been promised a life without struggle. In fact, the Bible tells us otherwise. However, everyone has the opportunity to live a fulfilled life. So how does a Kingdom Education help a student live a fulfilled life? In the words of Kevin Swanson,
"A successful education is achieved when a child is prepared to make maximal use of his God-given talents and abilities in the accomplishment of the child’s calling…The challenge of the first eighteen years of a child’s education is to find that calling…A fulfilled life will be determined by whether he/she has centered in upon his/her calling.”
At HCA, our mission statement is abbreviated Character, Competence, and Calling. We strive to ensure that each student can successfully build their character, be competent in all areas of life, and discover their calling. As we embark on a new journey as a Christian school in Keller, our school leadership makes every decision and takes every action with our mission statement in mind.
